These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the touvar.com website and mobile applications (the "Platform"), operated in Goa, India. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, and legally capable of entering into a binding contract, to register an account or post on the Platform. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to verify your mobile number via OTP as part of signup.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. Each person may maintain only one account.
3. Listings & Requirement Posts
The Platform lets you post "Offer" listings (things you're selling or renting out) and "Requirement" posts (things you're looking to buy). You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and content of anything you post, including photos.
All listings and requirement posts are reviewed before appearing publicly, but admin approval does not verify the legitimacy of the item, the seller, or the transaction, and is not a guarantee of any kind. We may reject, remove, or ask you to edit and resubmit any post that violates these Terms, without prior notice.
You may not post content that is illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited under Indian law, including but not limited to weapons, drugs or controlled substances, adult content, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
4. Chat & Communication Between Users
The Platform provides a simple chat feature so buyers and sellers can contact each other about a specific listing. You agree to use this feature respectfully and not to send spam, harassment, or unlawful content.
Safety reminder: never share OTPs, PINs, passwords, CVV, or banking login details with anyone through chat. Never scan a QR code or click a payment link to "receive" money. Avoid advance payments and verify the item and the other person before paying. If anything seems suspicious, stop the transaction and report the user to us.
5. No Party to Transactions
Touvar is a platform that connects buyers and sellers — we are not a party to, and do not guarantee, any transaction, item, or agreement between users. We make no warranty about the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing, requirement post, or user. You deal with other users entirely at your own risk and discretion.
6. Fees
Posting listings and requirement posts is currently free of charge. We do not process any payments on the Platform. We may introduce paid features in the future, with notice.
7. Content Moderation & Account Actions
We may approve, reject, remove, or request changes to any listing or requirement post, and may verify, block, or remove any account, at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or misuse of the chat feature.
8. Your Content License to Us
You retain ownership of content you submit (listings, requirement posts, photos, chat messages). By posting, you grant Touvar a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Touvar and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including any loss arising from a transaction or interaction with another user.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms. You may stop using the Platform, or request deletion of your account, at any time — see our Account & Data Deletion page.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Goa, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
